Swimming as fast as we can...

The video opens at the South Pole asking what time zone applies in Antarctica, where all time zones meet. It notes the phone time and the idea that running around the pole could cross every zone in seconds. It explains the continent's once-yearly sunrise and sunset, permanent daylight, sparse research bases, and lack of permanent residents. Because no one lives there permanently, bases usually adopt the time zone of their supply base. It concludes Antarctica is the only continent with no official time zone, then previews an upcoming episode about what is hidden under the ice.

The comment section is buzzing with curiosity and playful questions about time in Antarctica. The top viral comment asks whether people age differently there, sparking a deep debate on the nature of time itself. Many viewers are also puzzled by the idea of all time zones converging at the poles, leading to questions about the North and South Poles sharing the same time. A flat-Earth comment ignites a heated debate, while others joke about being able to choose their own time. Some viewers notice the creator's iPhone appears to lack the Dynamic Island, questioning its authenticity. Requests for a follow-up on what's under the ice show interest in further content. Yes because they still have years due to earth position in space

we dont know what time is, but TIME is a concept made by humans to understand time. Pls tell me im making sense here

I get what youre saying. Yes the term time was created by humans, observing the positions of earth. But its also a measurement meaning that certain things happen due to change in something. Processes such, aging, radioactive decay, nuclear fission all proves that time is infact that change in measure. like if that makes sense yk?!

That’s actually an interesting question. So, wouldn’t the South and North poles be the same time?

There isn’t any land at the North Pole so people don’t live there

That’s irrelevant. Imagine floating on a boat.

Please. Let’s end time zones entirely. They are completely unnecessary in today’s world.

oh exciting! tell us how you would "define" time and how society would work without timezones?

how would you decide on the one time? and more importantly, how do you plan on making everyone follow such a brain-dead idea?

1000s of things. too know all in detail you would have to come to my country & read all the documentation regarding the studies being done at Antarctica. 90% of the worlds scientific community go to Antarctica through my country. our legislations force them to be transparent. mostly its from the scientific fields of geology, glaciology, marine biology & astronomy

North and South only exist for us for directional purposes. There's no actual up or down as Earth is suspended in space. Up and down is based on perspective
reply · 15 likes
You actually misrepresented it. down is a direction towards the earth, up is a direction away from earth. North and South are directions towards earths poles represented by attitude and longitude.

Should we just leave what is below the ice alone?
